Open Meeting Points from January 2026

These regular meetings promote exchange and sociability. Registration is only required if noted in the calendar.

• Weekly Community Breakfast – from Tuesday, January 6, 2026, every Tuesday 9:30–11:00. Location: Mehrgenerationenhaus (MGH) Bad Kissingen. Focus: Arriving, getting to know each other, information about municipal offers.
• Eating Together – Lunch Table – from Wednesday, January 7, 2026, Wednesdays 12:00–13:00. Location: MGH. Suitable for individuals and small groups; companions welcome.
• Open Game Afternoons – from Friday, January 9, 2026, Fridays 14:00–16:00. Location: MGH. Card games, board games, puzzles; beginners always welcome.
• Discussion and Self-Help Groups – ongoing from January 2026, with topic-specific dates (e.g., grief, care, health). Schedule in the calendar; participation confidential.

Exercise in Everyday Life: Walking Group and Gymnastics (January–March 2026)

Exercise formats are low-barrier and accompany you through the winter: outdoors in good weather, otherwise at covered locations. Aids (rollator, walking stick) are welcome.

• Senior Gymnastics Outdoors – Start: Monday, January 5, 2026, Mondays 10:00–10:45. Meeting point: Spa Gardens (alternative location in case of wet weather as per calendar). Content: Circulation, mobility, balance, gentle and adaptable.
• Open Walking Group "Steps & Conversations" – Start: Thursday, January 8, 2026, Thursdays 14:00–15:00. Route: easily walkable paths in the spa district/along the Saale; pace according to group.

Recommendation: non-slip shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, if necessary a water bottle. In case of icy conditions, routes and meeting points may be changed at short notice; check the calendar entry on the morning of the event.

Participatory Culture 2026: Music, Dance, and Café Sociability

Participatory culture promotes involvement and encounters – ideal for starting the year actively.

• Linden Singing at the Untere Saline – Season start: expected from May 2026, every other Wednesday 16:00–17:00 (weather dependent). Well-known songs to sing along, low-barrier access; details before each session in the calendar.
• Dance Afternoons at the Spa Garden Café – from January 2026, once or twice a month on Sundays 15:00–17:00 with live music or DJ. Participation possible even without dancing; seats with a good view are designated.
• Tours, Concerts, Lectures – throughout 2026 with senior-friendly options (seating, shorter walking distances, breaks). Search the calendar for "Seniors" and the respective topic.

Municipal offices will also support planning and orientation in 2026:

• Senior Representative – City contact point for questions about accessibility, advice, and participation; refers to suitable events.
• Active Senior Advisory Board – brings suggestions into municipal decisions and accompanies formats for older people throughout 2026.
• Information Material – Emergency folder, hospital checklist, and guide are continuously updated and provided digitally/in print; links in the calendar.
