A Benefit Concert Between Renaissance, Klezmer, and Sound Art

On Saturday, October 17, 2026, the Haus Wagenburg in Bad Kissingen will transform into an extraordinary concert venue. The benefit concert for the International Music Festival Kissinger Sommer combines virtuosic chamber music, passionate Klezmer, and a stylish reception into a unique concert experience.

Virtuoso Sound Colors to Start

The first musical highlight is set by the duo Aliada with saxophonist Michał Knot and accordionist Bogdan Laketic. Their orchestration unfolds works by Orlando Gibbons, John Dowland, Edvard Grieg, and Igor Stravinsky in an unusual cast. Precise synchronization, contrasting sound colors, and the immediate stage performance make the beginning an intense listening experience.

Klezmer Meets Classical Modernism

In the second part, David Orlowsky, together with the CHAARTS Chamber Artists, presents a program full of energy and emotional depth. Klezmer music meets original compositions as well as works by Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy and Erwin Schulhoff. Between chamber music transparency and expressive melodic lines, a sound emerges that connects folkloric tradition, classical form, and modern concert aesthetics.

An Evening Concert with a Special Atmosphere

The Haus Wagenburg in the Bad Kissingen district of Garitz provides an unusual backdrop for this. The concert evening leads from the rooftop garden to the underground garage of the building completed in 2022, merging music with architectural atmosphere. After the concert, the evening will wind down with finger food and drinks. The musical accompaniment is provided by the trio Redpack.

Experience Music and Do Good

The proceeds of the benefit concert will benefit the Kissinger Sommer, thus supporting the further development of an internationally renowned music festival. The audience can look forward to a varied evening with high instrumental quality, exciting sound worlds, and a festive live atmosphere.

Those who wish to experience extraordinary concert formats, virtuosic chamber music, and the emotional power of Klezmer will find a special date in the cultural calendar of Bad Kissingen at the benefit concert in the Haus Wagenburg.
