Specialist Internal Medicine Practice - Tamer Mahmoud | Appointments & Diagnostics
The Specialist Internal Medicine Practice - Tamer Mahmoud is a gastroenterological specialist practice in Bad Brückenau with a focus on Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, Infectiology, and Hepatology. Those looking for events or tickets will not find a program calendar here, but rather a highly specialized practice with online appointments, structured patient management, and a wide range of diagnostic offerings. The practice is located at Bahnhofstraße 12/14 in 97769 Bad Brückenau; the city of Bad Brückenau also lists it as an internist entry with a website and phone number. ([fachinternistische-praxis.de](https://www.fachinternistische-praxis.de/))
Scheduling Appointments, Office Hours, and New Patients
For most visitors, this practice focuses not on attending an event but on a clearly organized appointment. Doctolib explicitly states that online booking is also possible for new patients. This is an important point for anyone looking for a quick and straightforward slot for a specialist internal medicine or gastroenterological assessment. Additionally, inquiries outside of an appointment can be directed to the facility. The practice accepts both statutory and privately insured patients as well as self-payers, which facilitates appointment scheduling for different patient groups. As an emergency contact, the statutory medical on-call service is mentioned at 116117. ([doctolib.de](https://www.doctolib.de/gastroenterologie/bad-brueckenau/tamer-mahmoud-bad-brueckenau))
The specified office hours make the practice well-planned: Monday to Friday, the morning is scheduled from 08:00 to 14:00, and additionally, there is an afternoon window on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 14:30 to 17:00. On the contact page, it is even explicitly mentioned that appointments can be made by arrangement during these afternoons. For inquiries regarding opening hours, office hours, and new patients, this is particularly relevant because the practice does not rely on a spontaneous walk-in concept but on orderly procedures. This aligns with the many patient indications of calm, structured care and short waiting times. Therefore, anyone planning an appointment should use online booking or telephone contact and consider the preparation for the respective examination directly. ([doctolib.de](https://www.doctolib.de/gastroenterologie/bad-brueckenau/tamer-mahmoud-bad-brueckenau))
Colonoscopy, Gastroscopy, and Endoscopy
The strongest professional focus of the practice is clearly on endoscopy. The website lists under this area, among other things, OGD or gastroscopy, colonoscopy or colon examination, rectoscopy, video capsule endoscopy, pH-metry, PEG placement, and PleurX placement. The individual subpages explain the procedures understandably: In gastroscopy, a flexible tube is inserted through the mouth so that the esophagus, stomach, and the upper part of the small intestine can be directly assessed. The colonoscopy serves to examine the large intestine and rectum to detect polyps, tumors, or inflammation. Thus, the practice covers the central search terms around colonoscopy, gastroscopy, and endoscopy in a professionally sound manner. ([fachinternistische-praxis.de](https://www.fachinternistische-praxis.de/leistunge))
The practice FAQs on the specialist pages also contain practical information that is important for patients. For gastroscopy, the practice mentions fasting from 19:00 the evening before; medications should only be taken in consultation with a little water, and blood-thinning agents must be explicitly reported. As pain relief options, a local throat spray anesthesia or a short sedation is described. For colonoscopy, the practice points out the individual coordination with blood thinners and describes a specific preparation with Plenvu as well as the avoidance of grains, seeds, nuts, and muesli one week prior. After sedation, the rule is: no driving ability, no machinery, and pick-up by an accompanying person. This information shows that the practice places great importance on preparation, safety, and comprehensible procedures. ([fachinternistische-praxis.de](https://www.fachinternistische-praxis.de/%C3%B6gd))
Ultrasound, Cardiology, and Additional Diagnostics
In addition to endoscopy, the diagnostic breadth of the practice is a central feature. The services page lists abdominal sonography, carotid Doppler sonography, thyroid ultrasound, echocardiography for private and self-paying patients, as well as ultrasound-guided organ punctures. Additionally, resting ECG, exercise ECG, long-term ECG, long-term blood pressure measurement, and basic and specialized laboratory diagnostics including genetic diagnostics are mentioned. This covers not only classic gastroenterological questions but also internal medicine and cardiological examinations that are relevant in the daily lives of many patients. For search terms like ultrasound, long-term ECG, or blood pressure measurement, this is the content-appropriate answer on the practice page. ([fachinternistische-praxis.de](https://www.fachinternistische-praxis.de/leistunge))
Doctolib complements this spectrum with additional services mentioned on the profile page such as nutritional counseling, H2 breath test, fructose tolerance test, Helicobacter breath test, internal medicine, and sonography. The description of the facility also emphasizes that diseases of the esophagus, stomach, intestines, liver, gallbladder, and pancreas are comprehensively diagnosed and treated. This makes the specialist practice particularly interesting for people specifically looking for a gastroenterologist but at the same time wanting a comprehensive internal medicine perspective. The combination of endoscopy, ultrasound, and internal diagnostics is a strong profile for organ-related complaints and preventive examinations. Additionally, the presentation on the website signals a modern, guideline-oriented working method with clearly structured processes and regular professional development. ([doctolib.de](https://www.doctolib.de/gastroenterologie/bad-brueckenau/tamer-mahmoud-bad-brueckenau))

Additionally, barrier-free access is mentioned, and the practice is located on the 1st floor with an elevator. The combination of good access, free parking spaces, and an elevator speaks for a patient-oriented organization that keeps the path to the practice as simple as possible. Additionally, memberships in professional societies such as DGVS, ESGE, BNG, and ÖGGH are included. For patients, this combination of clinical experience, certification, and professional society work is a good sign that examinations and diagnostics take place on a solid professional foundation. The multilingual treatment in German, English, and Arabic on the doctors' page, as well as in German, English, and Russian on Doctolib, further enhances the accessibility of the practice. ([fachinternistische-praxis.de](https://www.fachinternistische-praxis.de/%C3%A4rzte))
Team, Practice Profile, and Patient Orientation
The practice presents itself not as a one-man operation but as a well-coordinated team. The team page lists Stephanie Homeier as practice manager, Iris Flyod, Maria Kreß, and Yana Posokhova as practice assistants, Kyra Leirich as an apprentice, and Elena Root as a cleaner. This aligns with the many patient indications of structured processes, friendly communication, and a calm atmosphere. For those looking for a well-organized practice environment, this is a clear advantage. The website also shows 29 referring practices, 37 diagnostic and therapeutic services, 3,200 endoscopies annually, and 4,230 patients per year. Such numbers indicate a high level of routine and specialization. ([fachinternistische-praxis.de](https://www.fachinternistische-praxis.de/praxisteam))
Content-wise, the profile of the practice also appears very clear. The combination of endoscopy, ultrasound, internal diagnostics, CED focus, and hepatology makes the facility equally relevant for prevention, clarification, and follow-up checks. The website also features patient testimonials that highlight calm explanations, friendly care, and professional processes. Without overemphasizing individual reviews, the external presentation of the practice underscores that here, medical precision is to be combined with respectful communication. This is particularly important for SEO search queries regarding appointments, parking, opening hours, gastroscopy, colonoscopy, and ultrasound: users want not only the address but a reliable expectation for the visit. The Specialist Internal Medicine Practice - Tamer Mahmoud meets this demand through clear information, strong professional orientation, and a well-documented infrastructure. I went for a stomach and colonoscopy at the practice and felt very well taken care of. The explanation was calm, understandable, and without time pressure. The team was friendly and professional. The examination itself went smoothly, and I was well looked after afterwards as well. I especially appreciated the clear explanation of the findings and the understandable treatment recommendations. Overall, a very structured, competent practice with a pleasant atmosphere. Thank you to the entire team.

I went for a gastroscopy, and the appointment was scheduled within 3 days, which was really great. The practice flow was very precise, no long waiting times.....before the procedure, a detailed ultrasound of the entire abdominal area was performed. During the procedure itself, I didn’t feel anything since I opted for the short anesthesia, and I would definitely do it the same way again. Doctor Mahmoud was very nice, the nurses were also very friendly, an extremely well-coordinated team. The practice is highly recommended, even a longer journey is worth it. Thanks again to the entire team.

During my fasting stay at the Weckbecker Clinic, an appointment for a colonoscopy was arranged for me through the Medcenter a few weeks prior – for which I am very grateful. Fasting and colonoscopy complement each other well. I can only recommend it!! In the protected area of the fasting clinic, there is plenty of time for the preparation and follow-up of the examination! The examination was pleasant and smooth, with no waiting time, in a very modern environment with an exceptionally friendly team. I found the personal appointment reminder the day before particularly attentive. The taxi driver called by the reception picked me up in the practice rooms and safely brought me back to the clinic! What I missed was a little chat with the assistant or doctor at the end of the examination, but I was ultimately able to find my results in the accompanying doctor's letter! Thank you, Praxis Mahmoud - I will come back in five years for my next check-up!!

My preliminary examination at Mr. Tamer Mahmoud's practice was very professional. The ladies at the reception were very friendly and accommodating. They explained everything in great detail. On the day of the examination, I was thoroughly examined by another specialist. This nice and very accommodating doctor also exceeded my expectations during my first visit. The only thing that wasn't optimal was the 1-hour delay of my examination. That did irritate me a bit. However, the practice had been struggling with PC and internet problems for days, maybe that was the reason. I can forgive that. Dr. Mahmoud Tamer immediately addressed a problem I definitely have after the first examination. I could confirm this. It surprised me a lot because I hadn't even mentioned it. Dr. Mahmoud and his entire team were very professional, friendly, and trustworthy. I will definitely return to this practice for any issues. Thank you for this positive experience!!
