KissSalis Therme Bad Kissingen | Prices & Sauna

The KissSalis Therme Bad Kissingen is much more than a classic thermal bath. Spanning 8,000 square meters, it combines warm thermal pools, a large sauna park, wellness, physiotherapy, fitness, and a regionally influenced restaurant into a retreat that feels consciously calm yet diverse. Those who come to Bad Kissingen often seek relaxation, health, and small escapes from everyday life, and this thermal bath was built precisely for that purpose. The water comes from the Bad Kissingen thermal water and shapes the entire stay with a pleasantly soothing atmosphere. At the same time, the facility is designed as a modern health and wellness center where movement, alternating warm stimuli, relaxation phases, and enjoyable breaks go hand in hand. This creates a visit that is interesting for wellness guests, sauna fans, families, overnight guests, and short vacationers alike. The combination of thermal landscape, sauna park, wellness pavilion, fitness arena, and back center makes the KissSalis Therme one of the most diverse places in the region. History, Name, and Concept of the KissSalis Therme

The KissSalis Therme is closely linked to the development of Bad Kissingen as a spa town. According to the official company website, the thermal bath has been operated by the KissSalis Betriebsgesellschaft mbH since its opening in February 2004. It was built according to the plans of architects Kenéz and Jaeger between 2001 and 2004 and replaced the old movement bath in the Luitpoldbad in the Bad Kissingen district of Garitz. The property belongs to the Stadtwerke Bad Kissingen GmbH and was co-financed with EU funding. The staff is also remarkable: over 130 permanent employees and around 70 temporary workers take care of guests 363 days a year. This shows that not only a bathing operation is run here, but a professionally organized health and wellness house. At the same time, sustainability plays an important role, as the thermal bath has relied on resource-saving energy use since its opening, thus ensuring an ecologically and economically responsible operation. ([kisssalis.de](https://kisssalis.de/info/unternehmen-jobs))

The name is also part of the history and fits well with the idea of the house. Officially, KissSalis derives from a historical quote on a porcelain owl: In Aquis Kissingen salus, meaning in the waters of Kissingen is healing. From the syllables Kiss for Kissingen, sal for salus, and is for Aquis, the brand name KissSalis Therme was created. This interplay of tradition, spa culture, and modern design language is typical for Bad Kissingen and makes the facility credible to many guests. According to the operator, the concept of the thermal bath is based on four building blocks of optimal relaxation: movement, alternating warm applications, and physical and mental regeneration. That is why the facility is not intended as a pure swimming pool, but as a full-body experience for people who want to relax for more than just a few minutes. Those looking for a place where modern health offerings, classic thermal tranquility, and a clear wellness concept meet will find a particularly harmonious address here. Prices, Tickets, and Bonus Cards at a Glance

Regarding prices, the KissSalis Therme relies on clear time models for the thermal bath or for the combination of thermal bath and sauna. The individual price for the thermal bath currently starts at 18 euros for 2 hours, 22 euros for 3 hours, 26 euros for 4 hours, and 34 euros for the day ticket. If you want to use the sauna park as well, you pay 22 euros for 2 hours, 26 euros for 3 hours, 30 euros for 4 hours, and 38 euros for the day ticket for the combination ticket thermal bath & sauna. Children from 0 to 12 years old receive a 50 percent discount on the selected rate. This makes the visit clearly calculable, whether you are just coming for a short thermal stop or treating yourself to a longer wellness day. It is also important to note that the bathing end is 15 minutes before closing time. This fits well with a house that consciously works with time and does not rush relaxation. ([kisssalis.de](https://kisssalis.de/preise))

Additionally, there are bonus cards and VIP bands that are particularly interesting for regular guests and frequent visitors. With the bonus card or the VIP band, guests receive a 15 percent discount on thermal admission when at least 100 euros are credited. The premium bonus card or the premium VIP band offers a 20 percent discount for a credit of 250 euros or more. Both variants are rechargeable credit cards and can also be used together with a partner or family. The VIP band also offers the practical advantage of faster entry at the turnstile without waiting time, as long as the maximum number of visitors has not yet been reached. Additionally, bathrobes and sauna towels can be rented for a fee. For guests who value convenience and predictable costs, this is an attractive model. It is particularly suitable for day visits, recurring stays, and anyone who wants to experience the KissSalis Therme more than once a year. ([kisssalis.de](https://kisssalis.de/preise))

Sauna Park, Infusions, and Textile-Free Sauna Enjoyment

The sauna park is one of the strongest arguments for a visit. Officially, it offers a total of 9 different saunas and steam baths, along with a large sauna garden with outdoor saunas, beautiful relaxation rooms, and a lounge area. The sauna is textile-free, meaning: sauna sessions are done naked or with a towel, but without swimwear. This is an important quality feature for many classic sauna-goers. The selection ranges from the Finnish sauna to the earth sauna to the sanarium, covering very different heat preferences. Among others, there are garden sauna, loft sauna, panorama sauna, birch sauna, earth sauna, sanarium, planetarium or caldarium, aroma steam bath, and steam stone bath. This not only creates a change in temperature and humidity but also a noticeable variety in the experience. So, those looking for KissSalis Therme Bad Kissingen sauna will indeed find a place with real sauna competence and not just a small additional room next to the bathing area. ([kisssalis.de](https://kisssalis.de/de/sauna/))

The sauna park becomes particularly lively through the infusion program. According to the official site, sauna infusions start daily at 9:45 AM and include not only classic infusions but also masks, salt scrubs, and scent ceremonies. The sauna masters work with natural essential oils, which are poured onto the stove and then fanned, significantly enhancing the feeling of warmth. For those who want to take it easy, they can gently enter the sauna world with the aroma ice ball in the panorama sauna or with the gentle breeze in the sanarium. Additionally, there is the sauna relax evening on Mondays with a smoking ritual, sound experience with singing bowls, and meditation. This is a good example of how the KissSalis Therme understands wellness not just as a heat experience but as a consciously designed regeneration time. In between, the sauna bar, relaxation zones, floating loungers, fireplace lounge, sun terrace, and media lounge invite you to relax. Those looking for a structured, varied, and peaceful sauna day are likely to find it here. ([kisssalis.de](https://www.kisssalis.de/sauna/saunaaufguesse))

Directions, Parking, and Motorhome Parking Space

The approach to the KissSalis Therme is well described for drivers and is also uncomplicated for guests from outside. According to the official directions page, the route is signposted from the A7 highway exits Oberthulba or Bad Kissingen from the north, as well as Hammelburg or Bad Kissingen from the southwest. The thermal bath is also well marked within the city. Particularly pleasant for day guests: over 400 free parking spaces are available. Those arriving with electric cars will also find two charging stations, and e-bikes can be conveniently charged as well. For many visitors, this is a real advantage, as parking fees and long walks are eliminated. Additionally, the website refers to the city bus, which provides a direct connection to the thermal bath. Lines 2, 5, or 7 go to Münchner Straße, from where line 8 goes directly to the KissSalis Therme. This makes it easy to reach even without a car. ([kisssalis.de](https://kisssalis.de/de/info/faq-lageplan))

Particularly interesting for campers is the motorhome parking space directly at the thermal bath. Officially, there are 18 parking spaces with supply and disposal facilities, electricity connections, and free Wi-Fi. The parking fee, including wastewater and waste disposal, is 12 euros, the spa tax is 4 euros per person per night, electricity for 8 hours is 1 euro, and fresh water for about 90 liters is also 1 euro. Registration takes place daily from 9 AM to 6 PM at the glass office in the foyer of the thermal bath. It is also important to note that the parking space is only permitted for motorhomes, and cars with caravans should use the nearby camping park. For overnight guests in Bad Kissingen, there is also the guest card: those who show it at the cash register receive an additional hour for the KissSalis Therme during their stay and can bathe and sauna for an hour longer than paid. This makes the thermal bath a very convenient address for short vacationers and motorhome travelers. ([kisssalis.de](https://kisssalis.de/de/info/womo-stellplatz))

Thermal Landscape, Children's Pool, and Special Pools

The thermal landscape is the heart for all who love thermal water. Here, guests can expect 10 indoor and outdoor pools covering around 1,000 square meters of water surface. The water is described with pleasant temperatures between 32 and 38 degrees and comes from the Bad Kissingen thermal water, which comes from the Schönborn spring. The pool landscape is very diverse, ranging from the large indoor pool to whirlpools and the outdoor pool to the warm outdoor pool. Additionally, there is a saltwater pool with 6 to 8 percent salt content, a hot-cold pool, a therapy pool, a Kneipp foot bath, a glass steam bath, salt inhalation, infrared seats, the sun island, the peat room, and relaxation areas with loungers. This not only sounds rich but is also so. Those looking for the thermal bath as a place for movement, warmth stimuli, and deep breathing will find many opportunities to design their stay individually. Even short bathing times can be experienced very differently. ([kisssalis.de](https://www.kisssalis.de/en/therme))

Families are also taken into account. In the thermal landscape, there is a kiddies splash pool with a children's slide, and children are generally welcome. On the English page, the thermal bath additionally describes a children's area where pedagogically trained staff supervise children in the Children’s Paradise when parents want a short break. This shows that the KissSalis Therme is not just an adult bath but was designed for various target groups. However, those traveling with children should observe the admission rule: children under 14 years may only visit in constant supervision by adults. This is practical as it creates safety while still allowing for shared time. For many guests, the clear division between the quiet thermal landscape and the textile-free sauna park is also attractive. This way, the day can be planned according to mood, whether more family-friendly, more active, or more relaxed. It is precisely this mix that makes the place so versatile for locals, day guests, and vacationers. ([kisssalis.de](https://www.kisssalis.de/en/therme))

Wellness Pavilion, Restaurant, Breakfast, and Overnight Stay

The profile of the KissSalis Therme includes an extensive wellness area. In the wellness pavilion, everything revolves around well-being, inner balance, relaxation, and recovery. The offerings include massages, physiotherapeutic applications, full-body wraps and scrubs in the water floating bed, soap brush massages in the hamam, baths in the emperor's tub, and cosmetic treatments. Additionally, there are classic physiotherapy, water aerobics in warm thermal water, kinesio taping, and manual therapies. So, for those who want to do something targeted for their body and muscles, the KissSalis Therme offers a very broad access. Appointments can be made by phone or online. Particularly practical: some offers can also be booked as gifts, making the place interesting for birthdays, anniversaries, or shared breaks, even if no separate birthday package is listed. ([kisssalis.de](https://www.kisssalis.de/wellness-physio))

The food is also clearly geared towards the wellness day. The gastronomy operates under the motto Healthy Enjoyment and offers a vitamin-rich cuisine with light dishes made from regional products around Bad Kissingen and from the Rhön. The restaurant is open daily from 9 AM, longer on Fridays and Saturdays; breakfast is served until 11 AM, and during the thermal day, there are snacks, cakes, baguettes, warm dishes, and a sauna bar with salads, small dishes, and drinks. Particularly pleasant: many dishes can also be enjoyed in a bathrobe, which emphasizes the relaxation character. For overnight guests, Bad Kissingen is additionally interesting, as the official tourism site recommends hotels, guesthouses, and vacation apartments and points out that all overnight guests receive an additional hour in the KissSalis Therme with the guest card. This way, a thermal visit quickly becomes a short wellness vacation. Those who want to get to know the city better also benefit from Bad Kissingen's status as a UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Great Spas of Europe. This makes the KissSalis Therme an ideal starting point for a stay with relaxation, enjoyment, and spa town flair. ([kisssalis.de](https://www.kisssalis.de/gastronomie?utm_source=openai))

One of the best if not the best thermal complex I've visited in Germany. Weekdays are quieter than weekends. 23€ for 3 hours with the sauna area access is very good value for money.
