Breakfast, Cakes, and Menu at Palais Erthal
The culinary profile of Palais Erthal is built on three pillars: breakfast, patisserie, and a small, seasonally supplemented lunch menu. In the morning, croissants, bread and spreads, cheese and ham variations, yogurt and fruit, as well as vegetarian options entice you to enjoy a cozy start to the day – harmoniously accompanied by carefully prepared coffee specialties. The aroma of freshly ground beans, the clinking of porcelain, and the calm atmosphere consciously evoke the classic coffee house culture that is still cherished in Bad Kissingen – one of the “Great Spa Towns of Europe.” The heart of the establishment is the in-house patisserie: cakes and pastries are continuously produced fresh and displayed in the showcase. From fruity-light to chocolate-decadent, sweet tooth enthusiasts as well as lovers of traditional recipes will find their favorites; through the in-house cake catering, these creations can also be ordered for off-site celebrations. Starting at 12:00 PM, the lunch phase begins at Palais Erthal: A small menu featuring toasted bread, a vegetable quiche with herb sour cream, and crunchy salad, as well as other pastries and seasonal daily dishes, connects to the Austrian-influenced enjoyment. The selection is regularly updated, allowing regular guests to discover varied options throughout the year. Those who prefer to stay sweet can combine pastries or cakes with coffee, tea, or a refreshing specialty. For special occasions or intolerances, it is advisable to discuss this by phone – the team usually finds a suitable recommendation. Conveniently, the menu is available online; this allows for culinary planning of the visit, and if you have a favorite item in mind, it can be reserved when making a reservation. The binding promise remains the same: artisanal preparation, friendly service, and an ambiance that invites you to stay.

If you're in Bad Kissingen, Palais Erthal is a MUST!!! The selection of cakes and pastries is fabulous. Coffee and drinks, savory treats...everything is served beautifully and is so delicious. The ambiance is stunning, the well-kept winter garden and the lovely garden invite you to linger.

Very friendly and attentive service. A fantastic selection of delicious cakes. My choice - a piece of Sissi cake - was excellent: a tasty light filling on a wonderfully fluffy sponge base. The cappuccino was also very good; the milk foam was simply a dream. The ambiance in the winter garden-like extension was very appealing. Especially in winter, it's particularly nice to enjoy so much daylight.

A very charming place to linger. Everything is new and lovingly designed. The service is quick, attentive, and helpful. The selection of cakes is fantastic, and the alternative dishes also make a high-quality and delicious impression. I will gladly come back.

A very nice Viennese café in Bad Kissingen. The cakes taste fantastic. The ice cream sundaes are also very delicious. Friendly service. Very nice location with a large terrace.
