The Schmuckhof next to the Regentenbau in Bad Kissingen is a wonderful place to slow down and relax – a visit is highly recommended. History: "The Neo-Baroque Schmuckhof is a small courtyard designed as a garden and the structural center between the White Hall, the 150 square meter Salon am Schmuckhof (110 people in theatre seating), and the adjacent games and reading rooms. In this courtyard, reminiscent of Italian gardens of the Baroque and Renaissance periods, four figures from Roman and Greek mythology by the sculptors Heinrich Düll, Georg Pezold, and Walter Sebastian Resch are placed around the lower lawn. Venus, the Roman goddess of the garden, spring, and love, contemplates herself vainly in the mirror; Diana, the goddess of the hunt, displays her arrow like a child's toy; Zeus' son Perseus bears the burden of the mask of Medusa's head, and Bacchus carefully holds grapes under his arm. converse with the small putti at the ornamental fountains, which, together with the high arcade and the colorful fresco painting on a blue background in gray-violet and yellow tones created by the Offenbach painter Richard Troll, bring the ornamental courtyard to life" (Source: Wikipedia). A very beautiful courtyard with a compelling atmosphere. Unfortunately, the furnishings don't really fit the ambiance.

The atmosphere is lovely, but I wouldn't recommend it after a Kissinger Sommer concert. Lots of people come there after the show. Entry costs €10, including one drink. That would be perfectly fine if the organization were better. Everyone arrives at once, which is predictable, but then there's a huge queue that moves very slowly. We waited for 20 minutes before I joined the queue. After another 15 minutes, I got my wine in a beer glass because they were out of wine glasses. That's just unnecessary.
